Priests for Life and the Ave Maria School of Law co-sponsored a symposium for clergy and attorneys in June of 2003. These symposium papers will give pastors a broader understanding of the law in this area, and assist them to fulfill their mission with greater confidence. There is much that pastors can do to call their congregations to active and informed participation in the political process. In documents like Living the Gospel of Life (1998), the US bishops have articulated such a call with clarity and passion. At the same time, many pastors remain unaware of the extent to which they can speak and act in this arena, and often believe they are far more restricted than the law actually requires.
This study guide, written by the clergy and pastoral associates of Priests for Life, can be used by individuals or groups as a side-by side companion with the Encyclical itself. It will aide in delving more deeply into the text and will stimulate reflection and discussion.
This study guide, written by the Priests and Pastoral Associates of Priests for Life, contains the text of the Encyclical itself (Humanae Vitae (On Human Life), written by Pope Paul VI) along with commentary and study questions. Great for personal or group use and also a great resource for Pre-Cana classes.
The Way of the Cross for Families is a collaborative effort of Priests for Life and the Vatican’s Pontifical Council for the Family. This is a special gift and blessing for families, because there is a deep connection between the mysteries of Our Lord’s Passion and the mystery of the family. This booklet is 55 pages and includes colorful illustrations.
30 days of scriptures, meditations and prayers, compiled and created by the members of the National Pro-Life Religious Council out of love for Christ and his Church.
